Where are SEPTA meetings?
SEPTA Meetings are held in the Pelham Middle School Library, 28 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803.
How do I find out who to talk to?
You should find the info you need – School Liaisons, Teacher Representatives and PPS Contacts – on Our Team page, or reach out to us using our Contact Form.
What does a School Liaison do?
The School Liaison is SEPTA’s point person in that school – a friendly face that parents know they can approach when they have questions or need help. This entails:
- Attending their school PTA meetings, and SEPTA meetings, and sharing relevant information between those parties;
- Acting as the “face of SEPTA” in their school, answering questions & concerns that parents are experiencing with the special education process or services; offering support and encouragement; helping them navigate services or connect them to the SEPTA Co-Presidents; and giving parents an opportunity to connect with another family that has children who learn differently.
When is the next meeting?
Upcoming meetings and other events are listed on our Events page.
What's the speech bubble icon on the menu bar?
This takes you to our private discussion group on Facebook. Click here for more info.
Do you have a regular Facebook page?
We did, but this website replaces it.
We still have our private discussion group, though. Only people inside the group can see the posts, so it’s a safe space for members to special education topics, to post helpful/fun events, or to give suggestions for where to seek help for your child.
