CANCELLED [Thursday, Feb 11 – Advocacy 101 – The Importance of Advocating for your Special Child]

CANCELLED:
Sadly, for reasons beyond their control, our presenters have had to cancel at short notice.
We are working hard to find and schedule additional presentations/workshops, so watch this space for new dates.

From our recent survey, it was clear that many of us are keen to learn how to advocate more effectively for our children — so we are excited to announce our latest workshop: Advocacy 101 – The Importance of Advocating for your Special Child

Date: Thursday, February 11  (Please note: this replaces the 1/28 meeting.)
Time: 6:30pm – 8pm
Where: by Zoom – link to follow

Our presenters will be Denise Green and Fiona Rattray from WILC/PILS Parent Training and Information Center. They are both parents of children with disabilities, and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to share on the important of advocacy, understanding the special education process and how to communicate effectively with school districts.

Please mark your calendars. We will post more details soon.
